Welcome to SAP Steps 2.0: A New Chapter Begins

Welcome to SAP STEPS 2.0 — a fresh, focused, and value-packed version of the blog. If you’re an IT professional or SAP consultant looking to grow your skills and gain financial clarity, you’re in the right place. Let me share what this new phase means and how it will serve you even better.

Why SAP STEPS 2.0?

Over the last months, I took a step back from creating content to reflect, rethink, and restructure. I wanted to realign the blog with a clear vision: empowering SAP professionals through practical guidance on both technology and finance. This new version comes with a sharper focus and a deeper mission — not just sharing knowledge, but helping you build real skills and achieve long-term goals.

Working in SAP since 2011, I’ve seen first-hand how rewarding — and at times exhausting — our field can be. From intense project rollouts and tight go-lives to managing user expectations and aligning complex systems, the daily life of a consultant isn’t for the faint of heart. That’s why it’s so important we equip ourselves not only technically, but strategically — with a strong mindset and smart financial habits that support long-term growth.

What Can You Expect?

Here’s what SAP STEPS 2.0 is all about:

  • SAP Knowledge: Functional and technical content based on real-world experience. You’ll find tutorials, tips, insights, and implementation advice tailored to consultants who want to level up.
  • Book Reviews: I read constantly — especially books about SAP, personal finance, business, and productivity. I’ll share key takeaways to save you time and help you apply what matters.
  • Finance for IT Professionals: Let’s face it — we’re great at tech but many of us weren’t taught how to manage money. I’ll talk about saving, investing, budgeting, and reaching financial freedom, all adapted to our reality in tech.
  • Tools & Templates: I’ll also offer spreadsheets, checklists, and calculators that help simplify project tasks, track finances, or manage your freelance income more clearly.
  • Mindset & Career: Thoughts on burnout, motivation, freelancing, and building resilience in a demanding, fast-paced industry.

A Personal Note

I’ve been working in IT since 2003 and as an SAP consultant since 2011. I started investing when I was 18. Throughout these years, I’ve delivered global rollouts, worked with multinational teams, faced tight deadlines, and pushed through stressful moments when multiple stakeholders wanted different things — all at once. Sound familiar?

But I’ve also learned how to build systems — not just in SAP, but in my own life. Systems that support consistency. Financial planning. Health. Peace of mind. That’s what I want to bring here: real stories and tools that can help you do the same.

This blog is not about perfection or performance. It’s about progress. About simplifying the complex and sharing lessons I’ve learned the hard way — so maybe you don’t have to.

Why I Believe in This

We work in an industry that often overlooks the human side of the equation. We talk about transactions, systems, and modules — but we don’t talk enough about the people behind the T-Codes. About the pressure, the freelance instability, or the reality of earning well without knowing how to build long-term financial security.

That’s why SAP STEPS 2.0 isn’t just another blog about SAP. It’s about becoming more aware of your entire life system — your career, your finances, your energy — and taking steps to make it work for you.

Let’s Grow Together

If you’re new here, I’d love for you to subscribe and follow along. New posts will go live weekly, mixing technical value with personal insights. Whether you’re just starting in SAP or +14 years into your career like I am — there’s always more to learn, more to optimize, and more we can do to live intentionally.

Thanks for reading, and welcome to this new chapter.
